On a side note. Most of the time, when someone slaps one of those lame film statements on me like “Film, oh ya, I remember that stuff, heh, heh,” it is a sure sign that their work really sucks. Like really sucks. Like it has unicorns in it and the painter tool and shots of their kids with purple fog around the edges.

Scull, curious how you managed to avoid the branches casting a shadow on the model in shot #1. Was this luck or did you plan it that way?

It was planned.
The light source is at camera right, which would have rendered the shadows at camera left.

It is called a high key effect. Intentionally overexposing the face to smothe out curves. Very sexy effect.
Niver miss an opportunity to photograph a good sunrise. It might be the only thing to remind you that your day did not start out that bad.

While it is indeed done sometimes to smooth out wrinkles and create an artistic effect when done well, it is definitely not high key.
