Cake anyone?

just a slice of cake for you

Shot with a sony alpha 700. Tamron 90mm macro. Distance from subject of 1 foot. f11 at 1/200. used back lighting as main light placed about 3ft from subject at a 45 degree angle to camera left. fill was front light at about 30 degrees to camera right. i also used overhead fill to the back of the subject about 4 feet behind and 3 feet above pointing at about 20 degrees towards the subject. the overhead light (sony 42 AM shoe mount flash) was bounced into a 32 in umbrella while the other 2 lights were (sony 58 AM shoe mount flashes) shot with 20in soft boxes.

Delicious?
Camera matters much less than the photographic eye and the ability to compose a good picture. After all, you can take a great pic with a cell phone.

Its a normal yellow sponge cake i baked. this was a macro shot of a slice with melted chocolate poured over it. I used real chocolate because I like to make sure either someone else or I can eat the food after. Trinidad too expensive for wastage.
