Construction 5.00
Features 4.50
Image quality 1.00
Ease of use 2.50
Value for money 2.00
Overall 3.00

Ok. Lets analyse his ratings. The main problem is image quality. And in my opinion ease of use and value for money scored low because he couldn't get 'quality' photos.

The P90 is a bridge camera and the quality will be less than a DSLR for the same photos taken under exact testing conditions. When I was researching my camera I saw similar bad reviews but I also saw really good reviews. For me the easiest way to settle the image quality question was to look at P90 photos on Flickr. I saw many really good photos http://www.flickr.com/cameras/nikon/coolpix_p90/ comparable to what persons were taking with higher end cameras. I was sold.

Some quick examples

D man on DP review is an artist and he wants to make reproductions from a P90?
Niver miss an opportunity to photograph a good sunrise. It might be the only thing to remind you that your day did not start out that bad.

This camera has pixel density of 43MP per cm squared, that is more than my Nikon D80. I think I am falling in love with this camera.

That's only because your D80 has a much larger sensor.

This article aims to address the question: how does your digital camera's sensor size influence different types of photography? http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutori ... r-size.htm

Regardless of all of that, I still like this camera and thinking of getting one.

Ummm...high pixel density translates into noisier images.

Hey anonymizer, i really like your avatar on photo trini. That image is just WOW. Which amazing photographer did that for you?

On a side note. Most of the time, when someone slaps one of those lame film statements on me like “Film, oh ya, I remember that stuff, heh, heh,” it is a sure sign that their work really sucks. Like really sucks. Like it has unicorns in it and the painter tool and shots of their kids with purple fog around the edges.

Nikon has released an upgrade model i.e. P100. I see a lot of improvements. Looks good.
